Detection of mis-located fiber-optic lines prevents delays

Ram Handassa, a leading Israeli general contractor, undertook the installation of a municipal sewage line for a major residential construction project. RodRadar’s Live Dig Radar detected and exposed mislocated underground fiber-optic communication lines in plastic conduits. This enabled the contractor to alter the installation plans, shorten project schedules, and avoid disrupting internet services for local residents, businesses and a nearby university.
Damaging underground utilities represents significant safety and efficiency risks, and utility data is usually unreliable. We were excited about RodRadar’s easy-to-operate LDR system, enabling any operator to avoid utility strikes during excavation, without the need of expert analysis. LDR Excavate is expected to be a game-changer in the construction industry, and to be an essential part of our future projects.
